The Marlborough are very pleased to announce that we have won an award for Spring 2025's production of 'The Ladykillers'.
We were nominated in the category 'Best Technical' for our region (East, district 10) back in January. Three members of the Club committee (Karol, Harry and Steve) attended the lunch and ceremony in Hertfordshire on 22 March. We won for our 'Amazing two floor set design and creation in limited space'.

This was indeed a bittersweet moment as the Club remembered two people who were a big part of the success of The Ladykillers :
Kevin Wright was a Club and committee member who was in charge of the barn and set-building. He designed the set for The Ladykillers and spent much time leading the build and finding period appropriate furniture from the furthest reaches of the county. We were pleased to be able to finally produce the show last year, in his memory. And we are especially pleased that his hard work has been recognised by NODA this year.

Mark Griffiths #makeitformark joined the Marlborough in 2025 to take the role of 'One Round' in The Ladykillers, but was also instrumental in the construction of the set on Get-in day, and the dismantling of the same after the show was over. We were lucky to have his talent and expertise in the world of theatre to support us, contributing to our NODA win.
