Chairperson's report by Sue Grandison

I do hope you are all keeping well in these very difficult times.

The Committee is so sad to report the death of Joan Scott. She will be sadly missed on the Committee. She was one of our longest standing members, who participated in all aspects of the M.D.C.

As you will be aware, Covid-19 has forced us to abandon our normal yearly programme of events in 2020, including our Spring and Autumn productions at Brentwood School.

It is our hope that we are able to resume ‘normal service’ in 2021, and to that end, we are working behind the scenes to ensure we are ready to go, once we get the ‘all clear’. Our set designer and builders have begun work on what we hope will be our next production, THE LADYKILLERS.

We have a wonderful cast booked, and we do hope they will all be free next year.

Our Website, along with our Newsletter will keep you advised on what is currently happening.

I would like to thank Juliette for continuing with the Newsletter, Mark for doing the Accounts, and Harry, who keeps in touch with the Committee and Brentwood School.

Thanks also to Kevin, George, Steve and Harry for continuing with the set of  ‘The Ladykillers’ at the barn, and to Brenda for her work as Minute Secretary.

We are unable to hold our normal Annual General Meeting but the Treasurer’s report of our Accounts is available here, along with other relevant information.
