Just before her marriage to Lionel, is Sibella having second thoughts about Archie?

The wedding between Lionel and Sibella goes ahead, with the wedding party following on through the audience


Archie's plan continues as he meets Wilfred Gascoyne in his London flat, next victim on his list (William Wells)


Archie becomes an arsonist with a frying pan of oil

Archie wonders if the fire and death of Wilfred has made the latest papers and rushes to get a paper from the news seller (Juliette Bird)

The young son of Earl Gascoyne has sadly died of natural causes and a funeral procession wends its way through the audience

After the funeral, Archie joins Earl Gascoyne for a sherry and finally decides this is the time to use the poison he has been keeping as a method of dispatch. Gorby provides the sherry



But it isn't long before the police inspector (Juliette Bird - centre) arrives to question everyone, including Gorby and Edith

The inspector explains to Edith and Gascoyne Sr that the cause of the Earl's death was poisoning from the sherry, with her staff waiting on (Josie Bruty and Andrew Spong)

Archie is arrested

The policewoman ensures the sherry decanter is taken away for forensic examination

Archie is visited by Sibella and Graham in his prison cell, with the warden looking on (June Fitzgerald)

Graham and Sibella explain that someone else has confessed to the Earl's murder and Archie is free to go

Archie realises his memoirs that he has been writing throughout the play may prove his comeuppance as they detail all the murders he has carried out so he tries to ensure it is safely in his own hands alone - but Sibella and the warden have other ideas - it must remain prison property

The warden reads the memoirs and Archie is charged with all the murders and sentenced to hanging
