The accounts show an overall loss, however this financial year we have a high level of expenses for the next show, My Boy Jack, which will be in the 2026-27 accounts.

We are very grateful for the Brentwood Arts Council grant of £500.

The two quiz nights have made a profit which will go towards the next shows.

Note the profit/loss shown for each show is simply based on tickets paid for and expenses, but  members are also at the shows which pay nothing for the show tickets, as these are included in the membership fees.

The membership has increased this year by around 50%. The administration costs have also increased.

Some bills have not yet arrived, for example the last 3 months of electricity costs because the meter failed, it has now been repaired and a back bill has just arrived which will be in the 2026-27 accounts.

Brentwood School costs have increased as they are re-organising due to the government adding VAT to education.
